Piccola Pizzeria is a succesful Pizza Shop with two locations in Miami, Florida, USA. They approached me because they needed a website redesign as they felt their site was a bit outdated and using old technologies.

Challenges

Outdated design

Piccola Pizzeria’s original website had an old-fashioned look that no longer aligned with their brand’s growth and the modern, competitive pizza market. The design was not optimized for mobile devices, which is a significant issue in today’s digital landscape, where most customers browse and order via their phones.


Old Technologies

The site was built using outdated technologies that affected its performance, security, and compatibility with newer devices. This made it difficult for the business to update content or add new features without developer assistance.


Limited Functionality

Their existing website lacked certain features such as an online ordering system, location-based functionality to direct customers to their nearest shop, and integration with modern tools to track visitor behavior and improve conversions.


Solution

I began by thoroughly analyzing the site to identify key areas for improvement. The goal was to create a visually appealing, mobile-responsive site that could grow with the business and simplify customer interactions.


1. Modern Web Design:

I opted for a fresh, modern design with vibrant visuals, high-quality images, and clear call-to-actions that guide users to order or find the nearest location. The new layout improved usability and better reflected Piccola Pizzeria’s brand identity.



2. Enhanced Features:

I added a custom store locator using Mapbox, helping customers quickly find the nearest location and even offering navigation assistance. The new site also integrates with an online ordering platform, streamlining the order process for customers.
